“ Our local walking tour guide recommended this as THE place to try out mole in Oaxaca and it really hit the spot. We got the 7 mole tasting for two. Service was amazing! The server did a beautiful job at explaining the background of the mole servings, their key ingredients, and how to best eat them. This was not only delicious but an authentic experience at authentic Oaxacan restaurant. ”
“ I came here for their famous 7 Moles. They did make one for one person (350 pesos). It was fun to try different moles. They were mostly quite spicy except black moles. The staff was very attentive although the atmosphere was nothing special, average hotel restaurant. Recommend for Oaxacan experience! ”

The cafe de Olla was really good with the small roll served with the meal. “ You can taste the seven moles of Oaxaca. Recommended by our walking tour guide (Su, who was amazing). We went in more to learn rather than to expect amazing food, but we were wrong! All seven moles tasted so good (although my wife and I had our own/different favorites) and our wait staff was so helpful to explain everything despite my broken Spanish. The portion is a bit much for two people. The jar of lemonade is also recommended especially after walking under the blazing sun. ”

The restaurant closes pretty early each day (6 pm), so when I walked in around 5 pm, I was the last person to be seated and there were only two other tables wrapping up their meals. The waitstaff was super attentive and did a great job of describing each of the moles. The food was good! ”
